Who We Are
Full Circle Interior Design is a registered Irish company (sole trader) owned by Sharon Conneely-Donaldson. She has worked in the interiors industry for over 20 years with a wealth of experience in residential design, commercial design, product supply, FF&E, project management and teaching interior design both in the Middle East and Ireland. Sharon studied Arts and Education at University College Dublin and Interior Design at Griffith College Dublin Ireland. She graduated top of her class. She holds membership of the Interiors Association of Ireland (ia) ,the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and the Association of Professional Interior Designers (APID).

Day 1: Design A-Z/Brief/Colour/Scale /Mood Boards
The A-Z of design will be discussed with particular emphasis on the design brief. Then, we will analyze a colour wheel and discuss the impact of colour on interiors. Next, you will be introduced to scales such as 1:20 and 1:50 and draw furniture. Finally, we will explore the importance of getting a mood board together as a valuable visual tool as a starting point in design.
Day 2: Site Survey/Scaled Plans/Styles /Design Guidelines/Living & Dining Rooms
We will look at how to conduct a site survey and what essential information is required in order to draw a scaled furniture layout plan. Next, we will examine different design genres such as classical, modern classic, mid-century modern, contemporary, country and so on which will help you decide which design direction you wish to go. General design guidelines and specific ones relating to living and dining rooms will further aid your design.
Day 3: Dining Rooms/ Bedrooms The particular needs of dining room and bedroom design will be addressed with particular reference to furniture layouts, material selections, focal points, lighting and accessories. Case studies will be explored and relevant furniture layout plans and mood boards will be completed.
Day 4: Materials/Suppliers/Project Presentation Skills/Student Presentations
The technical specifications of a whole host of materials such as paint, wallcoverings, fabrics, flooring and woods will be discussed to ensure you get the right product and at the right price point. Suppliers are reviewed. Then the students are guided on Project Presentation Skills before assembling their final project to present to the group.
Upon successful completion of the course, student will receive a ‘Completion Certificate’ from Full Circle Interior Design.
Fee: €350 Including a comprehensive set notes of course notes, free Wi-Fi, complimentary tea, coffee & homemade biscuits daily during the course break time.
Class size: Minimum 4 & Maximum 6.
Materials: A starter pack is included in the fee (i.e. architect’s ruler, graph paper, tracing paper). Other basic materials such as a pencil, pencil sharpener, eraser, colouring pencils (26 minimum), notepad/ pen and *interior design magazines/catalogues are provided by the students. Drawings are done manually so computer literacy skills are not required.
*As an alternative to interior design magazines/catalogues, students are welcome to bring along their laptops for research.
